Tour of Pompeii from Rome

I receive daily e-mails of tourists who ask me to visit Pompeii / Herculaneum and the Amalfi Coast from Rome. The best option is to use the fast train departing from Roma Termini which takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach Napoli Centrale. Book your ticket online at Trenitalia or at Italo Treno. Once you arrive at Naples Station (Napoli Centrale) you can book a roundtrip transfer for the Pompeii / Herculaneum ruins or a full day along the beautiful Amalfi Coast. Or you can use the local train called Circumvesuviana, which starts from the same station (Napoli Centrale) to reach the Pompeii / Herculaneum ruins. Timetables can be consulted at EAV.
